Session 10 – Learning and teaching for a connected world

Greg Whitby

Any learning experience that gives you the answers is not worth anything – we need to focus on the questions
Challenge the national curriculum – what is it in a contemporty connected world
Teachers matter – and have to change in what they do and how they go about their work
We need to shift the responsibility for learning from the teacher (industrial schooling) to the student.

Schooling today isn’t about experimentation – it has to be about innovation – based on good theory and good practice.

Theory of action

Strategic intent -> Student Learning -> Teachers Teaching -> Teachers Learning -> Leaders Learning -> System Learning

This takes time………

Spaces for learning – collaborative, agile, individualised, ubiquitious access
